Message	-can i just hook up a datascan cable to my thinkpad and then run a cable from my thinkpad to a touchscreen? yes...should be no prob -also when I'm hooking up the touchscreen, would it be 1 simple cable or handfulls? (does the touchscreen have the software to tell the laptop its a touchscreen, this disabling the mouse?) no...it requires a vga and a usb cable the laptop will know is a touchscreen..becuase you will of previously installed drivers and software..and the mouse will still be fully functional feel free to email me with any questions good luck!
